Set up the Audio Player
The player comes pre-tuned. Connect it to the existing audio system and network in three steps.
- In the box:
- Audio player
- Ethernet cable
- 5V power supply
- RCA audio cables
-
Connect to the internet
Use the Ethernet cable to connect the audio player to your internet connection or router (LAN port).
-
Connect to the amplifier
Run an RCA cable from output A (or B) on the player to the AUX / CD input on your amplifier or amplified speaker.
-
Connect to power
Plug the supplied 5V adapter into the DC jack. The unit powers on automatically.
That’s it. The player begins playing audio about 90 seconds after power-up, and the song title and artist appear on the front-panel display.
Frequently asked questions
How do I become a Steady Brand dealer?
Fill out the form on our contact page and our team will follow up. You can also email greg@steadybrand.com.
What music is included?
Steady Brand offers hundreds of curated, fully licensed music channels for business. You can browse every channel live in the Active Remote demo, or download the printable channel guide (PDF) to share with a client.
Will it work with the speakers a business already has?
Yes. Both players are compatible with existing speaker systems. The Audio Player connects to an amplifier or amplified speaker through its RCA outputs.
What network access does the player need?
The Audio Player connects over Ethernet and uses outbound sessions only, over HTTP/HTTPS on ports 80 and 443. DHCP and static addressing are both supported. The Touchscreen Audio Player connects over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
If the network filters outbound traffic, email support@steadybrand.com for the list of domains to allow.
How long does setup take?
Setup is three connections: internet, amplifier, and power. The player starts playing about 90 seconds after power-up.
Can I manage players at more than one location?
Yes. Conductor Studio runs every player and every channel from one dashboard, per location or across the whole fleet.
Does Steady Brand work with Bluesound, Q-SYS, or Sonos?
Yes. Steady Brand integrates with Bluesound Professional, Q-SYS through a Q-SYS Verified Plugin, and Sonos. See integrations
